National Institute of Science Communication (NISCOM) and Indian National Scientific Documentation Centre (INSDOC) merge together to form NISCAIR.
- Established in 30 September, 2002
Objectives -
- To serve society using modern IT infrastructure in a more effective manner.
- Make research in the field of science communication, dissemination of information and services
Function -
The core activity of NISCAIR will be to collect/store, publish and disseminate S&T information through a mix of traditional and modern means, which will benefit different segments of society.
NISCAIR is the National Centre of the ISSN International Centre for assigning ISSN numbers for serials published in India.
NISCAIR PUBLICATIONS
NISCAIR has been providing scholarly research communication links to the scientific community through its 19 journals of international repute, covering all major disciplines of science
and technology. These 19 journals includes,17 primary research journals and two abstracting
